Terms of Service

Aureus is a software service that runs AI-driven financial analyses (DCF, comparable companies, earnings reviews, LBO models, IC memos and other agents added over time) on market data provided by third parties. Aureus is intended as a productivity tool for analysts and informed individual investors.

Aureus is operated by its founders as an individual entrepreneurial venture; the legal entity, contact address and regulatory registrations will be updated here once incorporation is complete.

You must be 18 years or older and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use this service. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for any activity that takes place under your account.

You may not share your account or use it on behalf of more than one natural person. Team plans, when offered, will permit additional seats explicitly licensed by us.

You agree not to use the service to engage in any unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, or harmful activity, and not to attempt to interfere with the integrity or performance of the service.

Every output produced by Aureus is generated by large language models (Claude by Anthropic) applied to publicly available financial data. Outputs may contain factual errors, omissions, outdated information, or biased framing. You must review every result before relying on it for any decision.

You receive a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use the outputs you generate for internal analytical purposes. You may not present the outputs as professional advice issued by us, nor remove the embedded methodology citations.

Paid plans, when activated, are billed in advance for the subscription period selected. You authorise us to charge the payment method on file for renewal until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the account panel — your access continues until the end of the paid period.

Where required by Brazilian law (Código de Defesa do Consumidor, Art. 49), you may request a full refund within 7 days of the initial subscription. Beyond that window, refunds are at our discretion unless the service has failed to operate as described.

Market data is sourced from third parties, including but not limited to Yahoo Finance and providers we integrate over time. Their content is provided to you under their own terms; we make no warranty as to accuracy, completeness or timeliness.

Authentication is handled by Clerk (clerk.com); inference by Anthropic; database hosting by Neon; hosting by Vercel; observability by Sentry and PostHog. Each provider has its own privacy and security posture, summarised in our Privacy Policy.

All software, designs, agent prompts, and skill content are owned by Aureus or licensed to us. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from the account panel or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, violate applicable law, or engage in activity that places other users or the platform at risk.

On termination, your analyses remain stored for 30 days during which you may export them, after which they are deleted in accordance with our retention policy.

Aureus is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Nothing in the service constitutes investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. See the Disclaimer for the full statement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim or (b) the equivalent of R$ 500. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost-profit damages, including but not limited to investment losses.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith negotiation will be submitted to the courts of the city of São Paulo, state of São Paulo, with express waiver of any other venue.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or a banner on the dashboard at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
